I’m getting pretty close to my figure debut, being less than 5 weeks out, so I thought I’d dedicate this post to catch you all up on my progress. First and foremost, I’d like to start off by telling you all that this prep has been amazing. I have become very comfortable with my diet and exercise routine and I’ve enjoyed it 100% more than my last. I have not been cranky or moody and I haven’t had any urges to cheat. I am extremely exited to step on stage and so far everything is right on track and my body is pretty close to where I want it to be for this upcoming competition. I am currently weighing about 126lbs at 5% body fat and measuring 32-25-33. Vs. 12 weeks out I was 137 at 11% body fat. My current exercise routine has been heavy lifting with high intensity, lots of supersets and giant sets, and a relatively small amounts of cardio due to being so good on my diet, and if you know me you also know that makes me very happy because I am not a fan of cardio. I’ve maintained a low carb diet throughout this prep and I actually feel pretty energetic, maybe because I’m used to it, or maybe because I function better with energy from fats… Who knows… All I know is that it makes me happy to have plenty of energy. ¬†Also I’ve recently incorporated some plyo and bands into my routine which have really helped give those final touches to my body. Here are a few comparison photographs throughout my fitness journey just to show you how far I’ve come and that anything is possible when you put your mind to it! One of the photographs from October 2012 took a lot of courage from my part to put up because that was the photograph that made me realize that I hated my body being at my heaviest ever at 145 lbs. and probably over 30% body fat. Thanks to that photo I am who I am today.

No-carb Crab Cakes!!! With spicy “mayo”

Ingredients:

(Cakes)

4 oz lump crab meat

1 egg white

1 tablespoon 1% plain Greek yogurt

1/4 cup finely chopped celery

1/4 cup finely chopped green onion

1 finely chopped garlic clove

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

(Optional) 1 pinch of sea salt

(“Mayo”)

2 tablespoons 1% plain Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon Siracha

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon lemon juice

( simply mix all these ingredients together for the sauce)

Directions:

In a frying pan heat up 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.

Mix all crab cake ingredients together and form into little “cakes”

and simply put them on the frying pan and brown on both sides. Top with a little bit of the spicy “mayo” and enjoy!!!
