**MEET JEN M.**
HOW I ACCOMPLISHED MY GOALS
I had my mind set to compete on March 16, 2013, at an NPC show in West Palm Beach, but knew I had to push myself. I wasn’t in school full-time because I took online classes to avoid troubles at school. If I had to, I woke up at 4 a.m., finished cardio by 5 a.m., and was at my trainer’s gym by 6 a.m. From there, I went to work and school, and made it to the gym again for more cardio and posing. I’ve never been a morning person, so I had to push myself. My hands had calluses that killed me, but I sucked it up. My cardio was horrible at the start, but I kept pushing. I learned that the body will last longer than the mind. I stopped letting my mind take over my body and stepped on stage.
“My mind would tell me no, but my body kept going”
WHAT ASPECT CHALLENGED ME THE MOST
Dieting in the beginning was difficult because I’m young and there are many parties and dinners to attend that create distractions. I learned to pack food and prep for the week. I decided to quit staying up late when I train in the morning because my body needs rest. I don’t bother going out because it gets in the way of my goals and future.
**MEET MATILDA O.**
Once you have that goal in front of you – and once you tell yourself that you can do anything – you manage to get up and do your thing. You go to bed at night knowing you did everything you could in order to succeed! I have become a lot stronger mentally and physically since I started working with Coach Janis. Without her I’d probably still be in the gym hours a day trying to get a six pack.
Becoming a Precision Diva is the best thing I have ever done…
“It has taught me so much about my self and who I am as well as put things in perspective.”
I have learned to listen to my body more and tune in with it to listen to what it needs and how I am doing and feeling. Being one with yourself is an amazing feeling and I truly hope that more people realize the importance of doing what you love and not be afraid of trying new things. I never thought in a million years that I one day would be judged on a stage in a tiny bikini with fake lashes and a spray tan! I must admit that I love everything about it. I even love my tilapia and what it does to me. I find it amazing what you can do when you try and when you realize the importance behind mind over matter.
I am in charge of my own body and nobody can ever tell me what to do with it but myself.
**MEET LIZ M.**
As a Precision Diva, I not only conquer my own personal goals, but can help each and every other girl on the team accomplish her own goals as well. We all work together and it’s feeling that I simply appreciate.
It’s an unexplainable reward.
And one I was thrilled to share as I stepped onto the stage for my first competition. All of my hard work has led to this, but most certainly it will not be my last.
At 25 years old, I can honestly say that it has been a bumpy journey thus far, but I wouldn’t trade it for anyone else’s. It is what makes me who I am today, and will continue to do so. This is my life, and my journey, and I choose to live this lifestyle. Why? you may ask. I have one simple answer for you…
BECAUSE IT MAKES ME HAPPY!
