Mindfulness means taking back control of your mind and gently tugging the reins of your wild thoughts so they dissipate. It means kindly yet firmly informing your conscience that enough is enough and that you want to be present and not wrapped up in thoughts of the past and the future, or spirited away in a flurry of unwanted emotions. Here are 7 quick tips to practice mindfulness: 1. Make gratitude a part of your routine. 2. Work on your breathing. 3. Meditation. 4. Increase your awareness. 5. Watch the world go by. 6. Take control of your thoughts. 7. Take ten minutes to do nothing.
